K1 Britannia Foundation was asked to check out the Dutch Quarter Community Center (shelter) to see if it was liveable after the hurricane. We did a bit of ground work in assessing the damages to the island, along with other local organizations. Along the way we met with and comforted those who needed encouragement following the shock of the devastation. K1 Volunteers helped to clear rubble and debris hours after the hurricane passed St Maarten.
