For the six construction / repair projects we completed in December 2017, local youth worked alongside American volunteer contractors, receiving training in a variety of construction skills. When the contractors left they donated their tools to these youths, who have since been able to get various construction jobs. We are in the process of setting up a 6 -18 month construction apprenticeship program that will cover key aspects of construction.
