St Maarten Week 11

Update:

We partnered with Motorworld St. Maarten / St. Martin, alongside other local organizations with the intent to make 3000 food and care packages consisting of food packages, elderly and baby packages by the end of November/ Early December.

Kooyman St. Maarten reached out to us and donated 3 pallets of milk and water. We started to deliver some of the milk by contacting the St. Maarten Early Childhood Development Association (SECDA). We delivered 240 1L bottles and will be delivering more next week.

We found out that the New Testament Baptist Church, who have been feeding hundreds daily, were in need of food supply, so we made an emergency food delivery to assist their efforts.

We also attended the 5th year Anniversary of the St. Maarten Development Fund (SMDF) with staff, board, management and clients. SMDF has been one of our biggest sponsors for our volunteer program since 2015 and we appreciate their continued support. We were happy to attend and connect with other organizations and persons that work to help the island in the areas of youth development, senior care, social care, poverty alleviation, gender support and so much more. SMDF plays an important role in contributing to a community that cares.

December is right around the corner so we continued our Christmas Angels preparation by contacting partner organizations to communicate goals, plans, and deadlines. We are excited about this year’s version of the Christmas Angels Program! https://k1britanniafoundation.org/projects/christmas/christmas-angels/

Arena Base Cafe continues to provide lunch to the foundation on a weekly basis and we are so appreciative of the special role they play in our relief work.
